ATEMI is a production company working on film, photo, web, and documentary projects. The studio had an old WordPress site that was deemed outdated and no longer reflected the quality or energy of their work. The project involved a complete redesign: a fresher website, developed on Webflow, designed to break away from the industry's usual visual codes and showcase their work as true works of art in their own right.

Context & challenges

ATEMI wanted a website unlike any other production portfolio. Several objectives guided the project:

  • replace an aging WordPress site with a fresher, more modern experience on Webflow
  • highlight photos and videos in a beautiful and original way, matching the studio's visual work
  • Propose navigation and interactions that break the conventions of traditional production websites.
  • allow the customer to easily publish their projects, with a YouTube video, context, and photos

Execution

The site was developed on Webflow, with an art direction designed to transform each visit into an immersive experience rather than a simple portfolio consultation. Advanced GSAP animation work made it possible to create signature interactions: an effect inspired by movie ending credits to close each project page, horizontal scrolling for the projects page, and zooming image reveals to give rhythm to the scroll. A custom cursor was also created to reinforce this distinct visual identity right upon arrival on the site.
A CMS has been implemented for the project pages, making it easy to embed the project's YouTube video, its context, and associated photos when available.

Today, the website serves as a strong showcase, consistent with the studio's creative ambition.
