Context
Aesthetic Music Collective is a sound curation studio founded by Clément Nadjo, at the crossroads of brand thinking and music culture. After more than 15 years spanning product development, editorial leadership (editor-in-chief of a leading French hip-hop magazine) and DJing, Clément founded AMC to treat sound as a brand decision rather than mere background decoration. The project covered the creation of the brand's visual identity and showcase website, designed to present its concrete work: the venues it supports and the sound identities created for each of them.
Clément needed a website able to demonstrate his expertise tangibly, through his work for each client. A strongly editorial style was wanted from the outset, so that the site reads almost like a magazine rather than a classic portfolio. Several goals guided the project:
- create an editorial visual identity, which did not exist yet
- Design a case study page system to showcase each venue: initial observations, proposed approach, and results
- let visitors listen directly to the sound identity created for each client, through a Spotify playlist embedded in every case study
- guarantee complete publishing autonomy, with no technical knowledge of WordPress
The build
From the mockup stage, the editorial approach guided the art direction: assertive typography, print-like layouts, and a reading rhythm designed like a long-form article rather than a sales page.
The website was then developed on WordPress, with GSAP animations supporting this narrative without ever distracting from it.
A case study page template was created to standardise how projects are presented while keeping this editorial approach. The back office was built with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), so Clément can add a new case study himself by simply entering his notes and the matching Spotify playlist, with no technical help.
Technical details
- Editorial visual identity (art direction)
- Full website development on WordPress
- GSAP animations (scroll, transitions, micro-interactions)
- Reusable case study page template (observation, proposal, outcome)
- Dedicated Spotify playlist embedded in each case study
- ACF custom fields for autonomous publishing of case studies
Outcome
Aesthetic Music Collective now has a scalable showcase website, somewhere between a portfolio and a magazine. The site makes it possible to:
- present every collaboration as a true case study
- let visitors actually hear the sound work created for each client
- easily add new projects and client reviews, completely independently
- strengthen the brand's credibility with an editorial tone true to its founder
The website is now a living tool that Clément can develop himself as new collaborations come in.
Project evolution
Several months after launch, Clément came back with a new need: adding a client reviews section. A new ACF structure was set up so he can easily collect and publish his clients' feedback, displayed automatically on the site, again with no technical work on his side.
