Context

ATEMI is a production company working on film, photo, web and documentary projects.

The studio had an old WordPress website that felt dated and no longer reflected the quality and energy of its work.

The project was a complete redesign: a fresher website, built on Webflow, designed to break away from the usual visual codes of the industry and showcase their productions as works in their own right.

ATEMI wanted a website unlike any other production portfolio. Several goals guided the project:

replace an ageing WordPress site with a younger, more current experience on Webflow
showcase photos and videos in a beautiful, original way, worthy of the studio's visual work
offer navigation and interactions that break the codes of traditional production websites
let the client easily publish projects, with a YouTube video, context and photos

The build

The website was built on Webflow, with an art direction designed to turn every visit into an immersive experience rather than a simple portfolio browse. Extensive GSAP animation work created signature interactions: an effect inspired by film end credits to close each project page, horizontal scrolling on the projects page, and zoom-in image reveals that give rhythm to the scroll. A custom cursor was also created to reinforce this distinctive visual identity from the very first second.
A CMS was set up for the project pages, making it easy to add each project's YouTube video, its context and the related photos when available.

Outcome

ATEMI now has a website that matches its creative ambition, as original as the projects it presents. The site makes it possible to:
